The Classes

Bring your Spanish to life in conversational language classes, held every weekday in the morning or afternoon. Classes take place at a local language school and consist of up to twelve students from around the world. The program includes three hours of classes per day, with a focus on speaking and comprehension skills. Practical activities will give you opportunities to gain confidence interacting in Spanish.

Cultural Activities and Excursions

Enjoy the relaxed Catalan lifestyle and deepen your understanding of Spanish culture through afternoon activities and excursions. For example, you might explore Roman ruins, play sports on the beach, or stroll through downtown Barcelona. On Sundays, you will have free time to meet with your new friends and get to know your Spanish host family.

The Homestays

A homestay with a local family is the best way to gain insights into the everyday life and culture of Spain. Host families come in all shapes and sizes, but what they all have in common is their interest in sharing their culture. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included. Most host families live within walking distance from the language school, and almost all of them live in apartments rather than single-family homes. There may be another international student sharing the homestay with you.
