Host a Student

Every year, ANDEO welcomes more than 1500 teens and college students from Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East to the Pacific Northwest for short-term homestays with local families. The students participate in programs lasting from a couple of weeks to one or more school terms.

Our hosting coordinators will be happy to talk with you about the different options and help you choose the program that works best for your family.

Why host?

Meet people from all over the world.
Learn about other cultures.
Represent your own culture to the world and experience your everyday life and surroundings from a new perspective.
Inspire your children's curiosity and global citizenship skills by introducing them to other languages and cultures.
Get an idea of what to expect from a homestay before embarking on your own journey abroad.
Motivate yourself to learn a new language.
...all this within the comfort of your own home!

This year, ANDEO is welcoming teens from Europe, Latin America, and Asia to the Pacific Northwest. Some will attend local high schools for a few weeks while living with host families. Others will participate in weekday language classes and cultural activities while spending evenings and weekends with their hosts. The rest will be free to become immersed in their host families' daily lives and schedules, whether that means spending lazy summer days at home, attending a family reunion, or camping at the coast.
