ANDEO's Volunteer Internship Program connects international interns with local non-profit organizations. Interns stay with host families and volunteer 20-30 hours per week. It’s a great opportunity for participants to improve their English, gain work experience, and make an impact on the community!

Name: Pauliina
Country: Finland
Educational Background: Studying Law at Helsinki University

Internship Organization: National Crime Victim Law Institute (www.ncvli.org) - NCVLI fights for victims through legal advocacy, training and education, and public policy.

Internship Activities: Composed NCVLI's digest (including international news, new legislation), compared law practices around the world, updated the Resource Map

Result: Pauliina gained valuable experience working for victims' rights in Portland, and her internship challenged her to understand the vocabulary and framework associated with law in the United States. Her time with NCVLI even inspired her to set up a similar internship in Finland!

Are you connected with a non-profit organization that could use the help of an ANDEO volunteer? We are always looking to expand our network of non-profits and our interns have a wide range of skills and interests. Email us at hayley@andeo.org to let us know!
